I had been looking forward to taking a very much needed three day weekend vacation for the first time in about two years. The company that I work for as a computer technician finally took the advice I had been giving them for the last two years and bought some new used poweredge servers. I knew that the ones I constantly had to fix were too small and old to keep up with the office but they always would just have me put a band aid of work into them, just to get them up and running.

I had pictures of used servers and the prices emailed to the big guys upstairs who would be the first ones to complain when the old servers would go down. I repeatedly did the emails right after we would go offline for a day, in hopes that they would just buy the used poweredge servers one day.

I think that all the stars must have been aligned the day that they gave me the okay to go ahead with the purchase of two much bigger used servers that would be able to handle the growing office and all the work they were expected to do. I knew that my weekends would not be spent fixing the old servers anymore.

I may want to change out my old used proliant servers for some that are refurbished that I found online. I may have to get a loan to do it, but I have seen signs that the servers are going to start giving us trouble. They have gone offline a couple of times already and the last two times were only a couple of days apart. I cannot afford to put new ones in or keep putting money into servers that will not last very long anyway.

I calculated the amount of money that we lost the few times that they did go down and it would have been enough to purchase these used hp servers that have been refurbished that I saw in the paper last week. After seeing the servers in the paper, I decided to look online too and then I saw the used proliant servers too. I knew that buying from a person in the paper was risky but the company that had the used proliant servers online was legit. In fact, they gave a guarantee with their servers and would service it also if anything would happen to it.

The total amount for the used proliant servers was about thirty five hundred and I did not have to borrow it, because I just put it on one of my credit cards.

I may only need two more players for my Scottsdale adult basketball league team if I can convince my boss and his son to join. I have been telling him all about it and he seems to show a little interest when I do. He told me that his son used to play some basketball in high school but was not good enough to play at the college level. He attended a community college and got a degree in business and works in the next town.

I asked my boss today, if he and his son would like to be part of my team on the Scottsdale basketball league and he told me that he would like it but he would have to check with his son. I asked him to call him that afternoon because if he turned it down, then I had to find someone very quickly since our first practice was scheduled for tomorrow.

My boss sent me an email later that day telling me that his son was defiantly in on the Scottsdale adult basketball league thing. He just needed a schedule of the practices and games so that he could set his schedule around it. The addition of the boss’s son, made me think that we may have the best team on the Scottsdale basketball league this year.

I really wanted to get a move on and start putting up all of the new pictures that I had recently gotten from my mother before she arrived for a visit. I had never taken the time to hang the photos but I knew that she would expect to see them up and displayed. It took me a very long time to get them up because I could not stop looking at them and remembering the times when they were taken.

Many of them were from when I would sometimes sneak into my brother’s rooms and put on boys pajamas. It seemed that the boys pajamas were so much more comfortable then the girls nightgowns that I was expected to wear. I liked the boys footed pajamas much better, they kept you much more comfortable than my nightgowns and you could just run around and play without having to worry about your dress like nightgown flying up and showing your underwear.

When my mother arrived about three hours after I had hung the last picture frame, she gave me a gift to open. I thought that my husband and kids were going to die of laughter when I unwrapped a pair of footed pajamas that were just my size, and were pink. I guess that someone finally got smart and figured out that girls do not always have to wear nightgowns, no matter what their age is.

My father was thinking of getting back into business after being retired for four years. He said that he was very bored with staying home and just golfing all the time. Most people would love to have that life but he just thought that he should be helping people and their pets. He was a veterinarian and he figured that if he just had a very small office, that it would be just enough to keep him busy and he could still be semi-retired.

I took the job of helping him to find some discount office furniture that would work in the very small waiting room and in the two other small offices in the building. I also set him up a standing account with an office supplies store that delivered and they were just down the road from him too.

The discount office furniture was delivered four days later and it all looked great. Shortly after the first office supplies store delivered the first big order for phones, copy machines, the paper and pencils, and everything else he needed to get started, my father saw his first patient. After he helped out the little dog, he said that he knew he had made the right choice to get back to working.

When my Father lost his job we had to cut back on some things. One thing my Father did not want to cut was his life insurance coverage. This was a very good thing to have in place in case an unfortunate thing might happen but without a job the monthly payments were hard to keep up with.

He then got his job back a few months later but just kept his new cheaper life insurance policy, so it turned out to be a good thing that he shopped around for a better life insurance quote. Everyone should do some poking around every so often to check life insurance rates to see how much they can save.

I was happy to find out that my friend Perry took the matter into his own hands and hired ReputationManagers.com to help him maintain a good reputation with the public. I had been on him about getting someone for a while now and he always told me that there was no reason for it.

Until an old girlfriend showed up one day and started telling anyone and everyone about their relationship. I think that he probably could not pick up the phone fast enough when that happened. The used cisco eight port switch that I bought from the guy on the street works beautifully. I think that brand new, it would have cost me about two thousand dollars, but I only paid two hundred. I am just hoping that it is not stolen. Since the guy who sold it to me was driving a cisco repair van, I am sure that his company is just trying to unload some extra inventory by offering it to people at low prices.

I am just glad that I was walking up the street this morning, or someone else might have gotten the good deal on the used cisco switch and not me. My office has been in need of a new one and they were all excited to see me walk in with this one. They of course, are also betting that the police may walk through the door at any minute and take it and me away for buying stolen goods.

Later that afternoon, the cisco repair man that sold me the used switch, came into my office to deliver a bill of sale for me to turn in. I then knew that the sale was legitimate and I would not be going to jail anytime soon.
