It was thanksgiving and the biggest tech store in our area launched its annual sale. Of course, at 4am, we were already outside waiting for it to open. The weather was real chilly, I even wore 3 sweaters. The sidewalk was packed with hundreds of people. It was really crazy thick.

Five feet away from me, there was a family of 3 waiting too, like I was. The dad was warming up his teenage boy who seems to be eyeing for an IPhone4 and the mom was walking ever 2-3 steps and kept on telling her husband that she will die just to get that Macbook Air - I was snooping yes. It’s just that I was a little jealous since I had no dad or mom to take me to places like that. It was indeed a bonding moment.

The wife stepped on the sidewalk and she suddenly slipped. She banged her head so hard, it cracked. I swear I heard a crack. Police and 911 came. I thought that everything was ok. I continued on and bought my techy stuff. A day after, I read on the newspaper, the wife died and the husband was backed up by wrongful death attorneys in Tampa.

I followed the story. It turned out that the store janitor forgot to clear up the ice on the sidewalk which caused the slip and fall of the wife. The store gave the husband a hefty check. Now I know, that is what lawyers do. I checked them out, the injury attorney in Tampa. I will keep in mind their number.
