My turn to carry the burden - I sold my silver
Jewelry August 27th, 2010When I was about to enter college, my family had money problems. I was about to stop my education, when my mom started to sell silver accessories to help me continue my studies. She said that education is something that I can use in the future and she will do her best to secure that future. Whenever we have problems financially, my mom would start selling silver jewelry to a store around town.
Her jewelry would always fetch a good price and it lasted until I graduated. I found a good job and I did my best to repay her efforts. I helped my younger brother and sisters finish their education and my mom was very proud of me. The truth is, I was the one who was very proud of her. She had been a great mom and whatever I have is all because of her. I wouldn’t forget the day that she sold her jewelries for our sake. Now it is my turn to carry that burden on her shoulders. I will make sure that my family will only get the best from now on.
