The whole thing about selling old jewelry is really hot right now. I guess that if gold prices were always this high, then it would not be a big deal. I am not sure exactly of when the gold price started going up but every place that advertises on television about selling old jewelry to them and the local stores too, have gone all out to let you know that they want your gold.

I have some old rings that used to be my grandmothers, that I would like to have put into new settings, so I think that by selling the gold and keeping the stones I can do that cheaper. If you sell old jewelry settings, I am very sure that they will take out the stones and be willing to sell you a new setting. I can actually sell old jewelry settings and just apply the amount they want to give me to what I will owe them at the end.

My husband is loving my idea since he looked into having my grandmothers rings reset about two years ago and the price that he was quoted was so high, he told the store that he would have to hold off on having the work done. Now, I can use the money from her rings to have them reset and the cost should not be too bad.
