I was so happy to find out that my husband was on board to move to Italy, when my company offered me a big promotion that would require us to move there. I had been with my firm for ten years and this was the big break that I had been waiting for, since I had been hired in. Italy was the location of our central office and to work there, meant that they respected you as an employee.

We started looking at Italian property right away. I had picked up some information about overseas property news to see if there were any real estate companies that advertised in it, that dealt with Italian property. I found two different companies in the overseas property news magazine that had websites that were linked to property for sale in Italy.

My husband and I spent two weeks looking at Italian property online making a list of the ones that we wanted to view when my company sent us for the weekend to find a house. We knew that we had to find one that weekend or we would be living in motels or renting. As soon as we walked into the second house that weekend, we knew that we had found the perfect home for us. We bought it on the spot and spent the rest of the weekend getting to know the city.
