When I was hired to do a construction job for a big accounting firm, I had to learn about all the new technical things that were connected to networking. I had to make room for the Rack Shelves and make sure that the installers were shown to the right cubicles to install the plasma mounts. I had never heard of most of the things they were having installed but I knew them all inside and out by the time I was finished with the job about three months later. I then moved on to a job where there were two other companies bidding for the same job. The foreman asked me what I knew about rack shelves and plasma mounts and I knew that I had the job. I explained them so well that he gave me the job right then and there. The other two companies had no idea what they were and therefore did not get the job. You always have to be learning to stay ahead of the pack. I went back and told my boss that we got the job and how we got the job and he was impressed to say the least. I will always continue to learn to impress my boss.
